Are you caring for someone, and not yourself?  Are you searching for more joy in  life?  Do you want to feel better? Attend this 6-week Introductory Wellness Course.

This is a six-session, twice-a-month, class series.

Learn how to transform your life by taking care of yourself.

Whether you are a Caretaker of someone else or not, you will benefit from the personally-specific tools and proven fun and easy self-care techniques that will transform your health and wellness. Class topics include an Introduction, Sleep, Movement, Relationships, Connection, and Nutrition. Adults of all ages are welcome.


The Transformative Wellness Course for You, the Caretaker is a six-session class series that provides transformative, yet approachable, personally-specific tools and proven fun and easy self-care techniques. You will leave each class with those tools and techniques that you can put to use immediately.

Each class includes scientific principles and enjoyable interactive activities so you can both understand and practice what you are learning and how to apply it to your life.

Individual class sessions focus these inter-related topics:

Class #1 – Introduction

Explore the concepts of Wellness, Biodiversity, Primary Food, Balance, and Authentic Self.  Learn the science behind these cornerstone concepts. Together, we will complete fun personalized activities where you will gain personalized tools to start your journey towards wellness.

Class #2 – Sleep

Sleep is the cornerstone of health.  The science behind sleep and wellness is fascinating.  Through personalized insight, we will learn how to specifically improve the quality and quantity of sleep.

 Class #3 – Movement

Joyful movement is a pillar of health.  The concept of “exercise”, and how our belief systems regarding “exercise” hold us back from wellness.  Through self-explorative activities, we will discover the power of joyful movement and how to incorporate this concept into life.

Class #4 – Relationships

Healthy relationships, even with ourselves, are more important than the food we eat!  We will define healthy relationships, and explore the science behind how relationships effect wellness.  You will leave this class with several simple tools to strengthen the relationships in your life, even with yourself.

Class #5 –  Connection

As human beings, we are wired for connection!  We will define connection, explore the science behind our connective wiring, and examine how our wellness is affected by our ability to connect.  You will leave this class with new tools for connection in your life.

Class #6 – Nutrition

Food is medicine and comfort food is ok!  We will look at nutritional science and learn how to implement the transformative effects of a positive diet.  We will define food toxins and learn to recognize toxins in our kitchen and pantry.  We will learn about the biodiversity of diet, and how small changes make big differences in wellness.  You will leave this class with the courage and tools to begin to remove toxins from your diet.

Each class session is 90 minutes and has the same format:

• Introduction / Review of previous homework

• Class activity  / Introduction of Key Concepts

• Interactive lecture / Slides, handouts, 

• Class activity / Reinforcement of Key Concepts

• Conclusion/ Homework assigned – a give away to each

   student every class

Class dates for this Transformative Wellness Course are:

Class 1 – Tuesday, December 1st, 2020

Class 2 – Tuesday, December 15th, 2020

Class 3 – Tuesday, December 29th, 2020

Class 4 – Tuesday, January 12th, 2021

Class 5 – Tuesday, January 26th, 2021

Class 6 – Tuesday, February 9th, 2021

The classes are held every two weeks to provide you with the opportunity to use the tools and techniques in your everyday life in between classes, complete homework assignments, and integrate what you are learning into yourself to achieve the transformation you desire.

This is a six-class series. Cost is $60.00 for the series. Pre-registration and payment is required.

 

Registration for this class series closes on Friday, November 29th, 2020 @ 11:00pm. Register early.

 

Minimum class size is 8-10.

There is no maximum class size.

Expected Attendance is 12-15.

This class is held in a 2,000 sq. ft. open classroom space, with a COVID-19 seating-compliant capacity of 45 persons.

Please note: parking is on W. Dearborn St. or other Public Parking only.
